IN HAMPSHIRE
Its been a while !!! But on this bitterly cold day in early February, I thought what better time to think about Gardens !!
I am very aware that many of you are no longe able to hold your various meetings in person, but that you may still be keeping in touch by email or even Zoom.
Here at the National Garden Scheme, we are confident that we will be able to welcome visitors to our gardens again, with no restrictions - albeit later in the year. In fact you can still visit gardens now, as part of your daily exercise, providing that you keep local and do not travel out of your area.
We have two gardens opening in February for the Snowdrops:
Due to the current situation there will be no refreshments available at any of our gardens for February & March
LITTLE COURT Crawley Winchester SO21 2PU
Opening: Sunday & Monday 14th & 15th February 2pm to 4.30 pm:
Admission: £5.00 children free. Pre-Booked tickets only:
BRAMDEAN HOUSE: Alresford SO24 0JU
Opening: Sunday 21st February 2pm to 4pm:
Admission: £7.50 children free: Pre-booked tickets only.
If you can’t make it to one of our current open gardens, and really need a ‘garden’ fix, why not visit our website and visit one of our 'Virtual Gardens’ https://ngs.org.uk/virtual-garden-visits/ (click on the link) These are made up of gardens Nationwide, but there are a couple of little gems from Hampshire amongst the gardens on offer. The gardens are divided into Sections, and under the heading Designers' Gardens, you will find:-
Old Camps Newbury Road, Headley Thatcham RG19 8LG
OR Maybe you would appreciate viewing a series of village gardens in the Group Gardens. From Hampshire we offer Froyle Gardens (from 2020). These are virtual tours of eight gardens, delightfully narrated by the Vicar of Froyle, Revd. Yann Dubreuil - you might like to sit down with a cup of tea for this one. Froyle plan to open their gardens once again this year, currently there are seven gardens taking part, and they plan to open in June.

I am going to follow this email with another which will contain a pdf file of the Hampshire Yellow Book for 2021. Including it here made the email file far too long.
If there is anyone who feels that their Groups will not be opening again and thus do not want these Newsletters, please just drop me an email and I will delete your details.
Best Wishes
